Is it possible to see all of Magic Kingdom in 1 day?
I would like to see as much of Magic Kingdom as possible in 1 day, so we can go to another park the second day. I don't plan on going into any of the shops there. I will have an 8 year old with me. Is this possible?

- I dont think so.We have been 4 times, still havent seen it all.
- Hours are from 9 - 9...are you just seeing it or doing some of the events and shows? I bet it would be really really diffcult! You have to deal with groups of people and that may slow you down.
- Not a chance! Why else would Disney be promoting their discounted 5-day vacation packages? Have fun!
- There is a touring plan at www.touringplans.com. You can join for $8 and print it out. It is insane. I suggest another touring plan. The "everything in a day" plan is so you can count off shows and parades. You will crash and burn, it takes too much stamina and "The Hall of Presidents" isn't worth it. Get "The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World 2008" by Bob Sehlinger. Study it. It has lists of "must see" attractions. You can find touring plans in the back and read the ride descriptions so you don't end up waiting an hour for Snow White's ride only to find out it's lame compared to Pooh's ride. The rides have ratings for different age groups. The goal should be to hit the major headliner rides so you don't miss "the big ones." If you are going in the off season and arrive when the park opens you can see pretty much everything. If you are going in the on season, GET AND DO A TOURING PLAN. Arrive before the parks open with your ticket in hand. Don't miss "Wishes" the fireworks show. Stand at the end of Main Street USA in front of the castle for Wishes. Buy the kid the expensive, stupid light up toy (or bring glow necklaces from the dollar store).
- You can do most if its not too crowded but you would be hard pressed to do everything, especially with an 8 year old with you. I recommend going to the Disney website at www.disney.go.com and click travel, and Walt Disney World, go to parks and MK and look at everything they have to offer. Make a list of the things you must do, then a second list of things that sound good. look at the maps online and get fasmilier with the park and where things are situated and head for something on your must do list, you will find there are several things in one area you want to do. Grab a fastpass for one ride and go do standby on one or more rides while you wait for your fastpass time to come up. Example: you want to ride Splash Mountain, Pirates, Haunted Mansion and Jungle cruise. Go to SM and get a fastpass then double back and ride pirates that has no fastpass, if you have time ride Jungle which is close to pirates then use your fastpass. You can then get a fastpass for HM and pop into Fantasyland and do a couple dark rides or Mickey's Philharmagic then back to HM. You can do a lot if you plan well, but try to take your time and have fun.
- no you will not manage it all in 1 day there is just to much to see, plus you will crash and burn, there is to much walking to do, plus why miss the shops they have some loverly shops in magic kingdom plus with the crowds it does take longer to get around you would miss so much we are going again in 5 weeks time im on my own with a 9 year old daughter and i know its not possible cos they want to stop and look at things then there is the shows has well to see .
- I have been a dozen times. I know what to see, when to see it. I take advantage of Fastpass. But still, I always plan 2 days in Magic Kingdom. There are more rides/shows there than any of the other parks and crowds are bigger, too. However, if you are determined to do it in a day, you need to get a guidebook or use an online resource, such as http://www.allearsnet.com and plan, plan, plan! Break everything down into A, B, and C rides. Go do your A rides first, then move on. This will require lots of walking and backtracking, most likely.
- Yes this is very doable, especially if you plan to visit between now and the 2nd week of December (the slower season). In fact, the Magic Kingdom Park can be seen in about 8 hours with low crowds. The only Disney park which I believe requires more than one day is EPCOT. Be sure to check out http://www.easybreezyplanning.com There you can sign up for a free Disney E-Newsletter, read up on fun tips and advice which are updated monthly, purchase discounted park merchandise, receive assistance on planning your trip and much more! Have a wonderful trip!
- My guess is that it is possible, but not likely. If you were to try you would more than likely not enjoy your visit to the MK. My suggestion is to go on the Disney website and pick a few attractions and things that you think are must see's, then make sure you hit those. Your 8 year old can help, because I am sure that there are a few things that he/she will want to do and see. It will give you an excuse to go back (not that you will really need one!) If you are able to see more than you wanted, then that is a bonus, but at least you can see hte things you really want to see. Check out the Disney website for more info. Also, you can check out the disboards. The disboards is a message board website with a TON of information, all from people who go to Disney often and know what they are talking about. You can get resort reviews, dining reviews, tips for going on the rides and seeing some of the attractions, and much more. I put the link below. Also, go to the bookstore and pick up the Birnbaum's guide to WDW, as well as the Birnbaum's guide to WDW for Kids by Kids. There are a ton of guide books out there, but those are the ones that have worked best for us. Hope this helps, have a great time!
- I'm sorry to disagree with others but I went (Off Season) with my 9 yrs old kid and saw everything, got into almost all attractions, took pictures with most of the characters, saw the parade, all in one day. As soon as we get to the park we take the map, studied it and started at the end of the park finishing with the front and enjoyed all. Use fast-pass and go at off season. We went on a weekday on May.
- I think u can it is not as big as u might think.
- While you won't see every inch of it in one day, I have always felt satisfied with what I have seen in one day. I never feel the need to go back a second day in a row. The fact is, you will see the main stuff the first day and so by the second day it will seem very familiar and you won't be as interested. I would recommend a second park because it will make for more excitment and interest.
- In the summer if you get there at 8:00 am and stay til midnight when they close you can see pretty much everything...assuming your body holds up...lol...now that they close earlier (7ish or 8ish I would guess) it's not really possible. It can be done but you'll be pooped your 2nd day...but go for it...have fun
