Best source for a one day ticket to the DisneyWorld Magic Kingdom?
I'll be in Orlando in April and my wife and daughter will be there on the Saturday of my stay. I'd like to take my 5-year old daughter to the Magic Kingdom and was wondering what the best source is for getting a deal on a one-day pass (with or without park hopping) to Disney? No timeshare meetings, please. :)

- you're not going to find anywhere LEGITIMATE that has a deal for just one day tickets. i would just purchase the tickets directly through disney via their website, a disney store, or right at the gate. oh and if you're only going for one day then i would NOT recommend the park hopper option cuz magic kingdom has enough to fill two full days so you won't get much done if you are spending less than one full day there.

You might want to consider a character meal. Breakfast at the Crystal Palace (Winnie the Pooh & friends) is very good; your daughter would love it but be sure to make a reservation. What we normally do is make a reservation for a late breakfast since it is less busy and we get to do some rides upon arrival into the park. Also take the monorail into the park it is the fastest. There are 2 monorails at Disney World; one is marked for the resorts and the other for the parks (Magic Kingdom and Epcot). If when you get to the transportation center and the line to get onto the monorail designated for the parks is very long just hop on the monorail for the resorts it will stop at the Magic Kingdom. We were there on Thanksgiving Day a few years ago and doing this saved us a tremendous amount of time. Hope you all have a wonderful trip. Enjoy!
- Disney never offers discounts. If you are a member, buy them from triple AAA & save $6 to $10 depending on what type of ticket you get.
- This is a great website for finding Disney Bargains: http://www.mousesavers.com/ It helped me out a lot on our last Disney trip. But be aware that it is very hard to find discount tickets, especially for the one day passes.
- Unfortunately, AAA is going to be your best bet for a one-day ticket. The wholeseller discounters like MapleLeafTickets.com, OrlandoFunTickets.com, and UndercoverTourist.com do not discount 1-day tickets. In fact, you'll find that purchasing a one-day ticket from them is actually MORE expensive than buying it from Disney, because they don't get any bulk-purchase discounts from Disney on them. Every AAA office is different, so you'll have to go to your local office to find out what kinds of discounts they offer. They may or may not have any discounts for 1-day tickets. The WDW ticket system is simply not geared towards people only wanting to go for one day. They're whole concept is "the more you stay, the less you pay per day.". So one day tickets are absurdly expensive ($75.62 per person). When you get down to 10 days, the price is less than $24 per day. Another option you might want to consider, if you think you'll be returning to Disney at some point in the future, possibly for a longer stay, or if you frequently do these one-day excursions, would be to buy a longer ticket and the "no expiration" option. That way, the days you don't use on the ticket will never expire, and you can come back at any point in the future, whether it's months or years from now. A 10-day no-expiration ticket costs $431.33 (and those you can definitely find for cheaper at the sites I listed above). The benefit there is that you've "locked in" your price. So if you come back 5 years from now, the increases in ticket prices Disney has had between now and then don't affect you. Sorry there aren't any better options. The only other options are, as you said, the time-share scams.
