  2. expedia.com always works well for me! good luck!
  3. If you never stayed at a vacation condo rental I would you check them out. There are many available and you get so much more for your money. Once you stay here I doubt you will ever stay at a regular hotel again. Two resorts that are just 2 & 3 miles from Disney are: http://www.orlandocondorentalsneardisney.com http://www.disneyneighbor.com Good Luck
  4. Well, it depends if you want the least expesive way, or want to spend a little more and get a much nicer trip. My suggestion would be to stay at the Disney value resort. You get the quality and service of Disney, without breaking the bank. Then I would get at least four days of tickets, depending on how long you will go. Remember the longer the pass, the less expensive it is per day. I would probably stay away from the hopper, just because it isn't something you really need. I think it saves like $40 per person. It is something nice to have on your tickets, but if you really want to save money, I would take it off. If you want to go to Disney Quest or a water park I would add on the Water Park and more option, it can be a great savings if you plan on going to either more than once. Then I would add on dining. If you go to Disney, the cost of dining can be higher than what you paid for the trip. If you had the dining plan it will save you a lot of money on the Disney restaraunts and you get to eat at some really great places. You could do a timeshare. This is something I don't recommend. If you are wanting to save money (which it will save you some money) this will take a lot away from your trip. You will spend the good part of your day at the tour then you have to allow time to get to where you are going. So you pretty much don't have any time to do anything on that day. Plus, they try to hassel you into buying a timeshare. It's just not something pleasing to have to go through on vacation, when you want to relax and have fun. You could also stay offsite. Most of the hotels in the are are going to run the same price as value resort, if they are lower I don't know that you would want to stay in them. Some of the places in the area can be pretty dirty. Plus, the further away you go grom Disney, the cheaper it will get. But then you have to allow more time for travel to and from Disney. I would say that most off-site hotels are a minimum of 30 minutes away. So you lose an hour of your day in transportation. The best thing to do is to buy a rental car, if you stay off site. The transportation just isn't like Disney's at all. You will spend a lot of time getting to and from Disney and waiting on the buses. Most off-site resorts either have scheduled times they will pick up, or they will only pick-up in the morning and at night. So if you want to go back to your room, it can be a hassel. Another option would be to bring your own food. Now, this will definitely save some money. But if you want to have the most enjoyable experience, do you really want to spend all your time making food? You can do this while you are home. With the prices of the meal plan, it's hard to feed your kids for less than that, and adults is a great deal. It wouldn't be possible to eat at Disney for these prices. It will save you a lot of money, you will get great food and eat and places you probably would not have otherwise. It really completes the experience and you can relax rather than spending your vacation in the room making your food. Finally, get your air seperate from a discounter. Disney's air is full priced and has no savings. Going directly to the airline will save you a lot of money. I would contact a travel agent that specializes in Disney to help you plan this. They will be able to get you a wonderful trip that is still in your price range. They know how to work with budgets to get you the best possible trip. I have used http://mousetrips.com/WaltDisneyWorld.html in the past and never had a problem. They are wonderful. I'm not sure what you are wanting to spend, but Disney advertises $1500. This is a good price to base your costs on. Just remember that doesn't include dining. I would say your cost per person for 7 days would be around $500 for and adults, around $200 or $300 for juniors and around $200 for kids. If you add on dining I would say it would add about $200 on per person. Trust me though, you cannot eat at Disney for less than this, especially with how low prices are for children. These are just a few ideas. There are lots of ways to save money on your trip. I just think that by spending a little more money you can have an absolutely wonderful trip you and your family will never forget. (Especially if this is your first trip and possibly your only trip) I go to Disney all the time and have lots of friends that have as well. And trust, me I have seend several families go to Disney, trying to save a little money and ruin the whole vacation because of it. Just be careful and think about the best ways to save money without affecting the trip. If you have any other questions, you can e-mail me and I am more than happy to answer them for you. Hope this helps!
  5. I've been to Disney about 5 times. I have used different agencies because the prices vary from time of year and place to place. You will have to do research. This year I actually booked my hotel and tickets through the Disney website and air via Delta. Disney offers the same package I put together but it would cost $300 more. I have used: Southwest Vacations American Airlines Vacations Delta Vacations I never use expedia or orbiz. They are never cheaper. The earlier you book, the better deal you will get. I booked a year in advance. The same room is now $500 more...so the earlier the better.
