Disney World, is it a good idea to add the any of the dining packages when you book a vacation package?

- If you are traveling on a set budget and don't mind eating according to the Disney schedule and in their restaurants then yes it's a good idea.
- that's a good question. It depends what the reason for the dining packages is for. if it's for convenience and you don't really mind institutional food it's a good Idea not having to worry about where the next meal is coming from, and how you're going to get there. The food isn't the greatest. for some reason Disney food has a Disney taste. weather it cost 5$ or 50$ for some reason it always tastes like Disney. If you are traveling with kids though. i would recommend the dinner packages. it's an easy way to see all your Favorit characters and get pictures with them without having to wait in the sun at the parks and deal with the park lines!!!!
- It depends on a few different factors - when you are traveling, how many people are going, and what your eating habits are Last year from August to September (not sure of the exact dates) Disney offered a free dining plan to everyone staying at a disney resort with a "Magic Your Way" package. Not sure if they will offer it again this year, but it's a thought. There are also deals that can be booked through travel agents, and if you are military there are discounts too. Off-peak, value season travel can mean big savings on packages, including food. Also how many people are going with you? If it's people with hearty appetites, then go for it. If it's a couple of kids who are picky, or a bunch of women who don't eat much anyway (I'm not trying to be sexist, just speaking from experience) you might wind up losing money. The time of year is something to consider too. People are generally hungrier in cooler weather and have smaller appetites in the summer. Take a look at allears.net to see the menus of the places where you want to dine, calculate your meal costs for places you want to go, and see what it is. There's many different dining plan options, and that allears site explains them in detail: quick service plans, basic plan, deluxe and platinum plans. It's a lot of options and there is something for everyone My answer would be to wait. You can always add it on. But you should make your reservations at table service restaurants about 90 days out, they fill up fast. Have a great trip! :)
- If you are a large eater then you may benefit from it. We usually split one of their entrees which are quite large, even from the counter service areas, and save room for Disney's great snacks. It wouldn't be a savings for us. We also don't like to spend the time sitting down waiting for the restaurant service and taking time away from enjoying the parks. If you visit tripadvisor.com a free site and type in Orlando the forum there has had lots of discussions on this subject with great points. Good luck.
- Hi Todd I will take your down a different road, why stay on Disney property? There are so many other options that will give so much more value for your vacation dollar. As much as we love Disney, we never stay on Disney property it is average and very overpriced. Disney's goal is to get you in the door and keep you there with their prices. You can get so much more off-site. Consider renting a vacation home or a condo. You will get a fully equipped single family home, the kids will have their own bedroom and Mom and Dad will get a great master suite! All the homes have private pools! Please visit our website at http://www.qualityvillarentals.com and http://www.orlandosfinest.com . We also recommend getting a copy of the Unnoficial Guide to Disney World" at Amazon.com, they recommend our services through or website at http://www.disneyrents.com
- Yes it's a good idea. We used it and it was great..
- if you are going to disney then here are some helpful saving tipss. 1. stay on the grounds. if you stay on the grounds you can stay at a value resort($82 a night) and its the same price as a hotel off grounds. also if you stay on the grounds you can get the meal plan. and free transportation. theres also moderate($149 a night) and deluxe($240 a night). 2. Get the meal plan. this saves you so much money. you only can get this plan if you stay on the grounds. the meal plan is 40 dollers per person per day but this is a money saver with out a doubt. because with this you get a sit down, a snack, and a over the counter. The sit down will usually cost you about $250 for a family of four and an over the counter about $150 for a family of 4 thats if you dont get the meal plan. 3.if you stay on grounds you also get extra magic hours this means you can stay later and go early then other people and you can get on more ridesss. cause theres usually no line. (: 4. transportation is amazing there. the buses come about every 20 minutes usually every 10 minutes and they are labeled to where they are going and they take you there. they run all day. and there comfortableee. hopeee i helpped. also, heres a website if you want more information on everything http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/resorts...
- Maybe. Maybe not. It's a different answer for everyone. It depends on how you eat and what you would order.
