How much money should ONE couple take to Disney World for a 7-day vacation?
We purchased our Disney package already and we did not opt for the "Dining Plan". We wish to eat a light breakfast, a medium priced lunch at the resorts and maybe a light snack for dinner. We may also buy some souvenirs. Not sure how much money we should take. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated ºoº

- at least $1000. Disney World is expensive, so go prepared. Plus, you'd want to buy souvenirs, too :)
- I live here so take at least 500 "just in case" dollars. It's expensive in a tourist town.
- Just for the food I would plan 100 a day. Then for some souvenirs it all depends how many and what kind you plan to buy. Then factor in other small things so I would say 1200.00 it is always better to have a little extra than not enough so from 1200-1500 just in case.
- http://www.wdisneyw.co.uk/planning.html#bud This website assisted me greatly in my planning. Have a great time. Before our first visit I read books, talked to everyone I knew. The one suggestion I still use is plan an afternoon at the end of your trip at Downtown Disney. Most items seen in the park or on sale there. The only thing you will not be able to find is items sold in gift shops after rides, directly related to the ride.
- Disney will cost you an arm and a leg, it's terribly expensive pf you are on Disney property. On the other hand, if you have a rental car you can dine reasonably nearby. The nearby Kissimmee area has just about anything you would like to eat. There are no medium priced lunches at Disney unless you are Donald Trump. If you want to stay on Disney property you will need a lot of cash.
- I would budget about $150 to $200 per day.
- I would say without the dining plan take at least $100-$125 per day for meals, drinks, snacks, and maybe small souvenirs. Actually the dining plan at $40.00 per day is a bargain. If you don't use all the meals on the plan go and get snacks you can take with you on your trip back. This will still save you money. A medium priced meal without drinks will cost you about $15.00 - $20.00 per person.
- I hate to say this but you should of got the Dining Plan; Well worth the price; Only complaint that most people say about the dining plan is to much food and the kids only have limited choices but I know people who saved $700 with the dining plan. Breakfast Will Cost Around $12 a PP Counter Service Will Cost Around $15 a PP Table Service can Cost between $15-60 or more PP Snacks $2-4 a PP Now lets do the math Dining Plan $38.99 Per Adult; $10.99 Per Child Giving you a example here I picked this Counter Service Goods to Go Cheeseburger with fries $6.09 Soda $1.99 About $8.64 With Tax Now My Table Service Picked Le Cellier Steakhouse Appetizer Steakhouse Caesar $5.99 Le Cellier Mushroom Filet Mignon $27.99 Cherry Shortcake $6.99 Soda $2.99 About $53.00 With Tip/Tax Now My Snack I got a Ice Cream At Resort $2.99 Total $64.63 Saved $25.64 Thats just 1 Day; See?
- I would say based on what type of meals you want to eat you should plan $60 a day for food and depending on how many souvenirs you both want about $60 a day for that too. So for 7 days I would plan on about $850.
- My boyfriend and I are taking $200 for souvenirs. We happen to have the dining plan, but we are not using it for breakfast. Instead we are going to pack a big box of Pop Tarts or somthing similiar in our checked luggage. Check out www.allears.net You can look at all the different menus in all the parks, even for counter meals, and get an idea on about how much you would spend. Also one thing most people don't know, is if you don't like fries with your meal and it comes as part of the combo, as for no fries and Disney takes $2 off.
