- Best moderate is Port Orleans. I like Riverside in the Bayou personally but it is all nice. I think it is the best because you have access to 2 feature pools: Old Man Island at Riverside and the dragon pool at French Quarter. The water taxi takes you between both (free) or all the way to Downtown Disney (still free.)
- It kinda is a matter of opinion since they all have very different themes... but in my opinion: Value would be Pop. It is the newest and they have their own bus line so it is a quicker trip to and from the parks. I can say I am excited about the new Art of Animation but that is still about a year away before it opens. With Moderate I would either go with Coronado Springs or Caribbean Beach. I do enjoy how close to Epcot Caribbean is which makes it really quick to get to Magic Kingdom, Epcot and Hollywood. But again it comes down to a matter of taste. Have a great time!
- My favorite value resort is Pop Century. It's the only value resort that has its own bus line (the three All-Star resorts share buses). That's enough of a reason to stay at Pop; but also the theme is wonderful and fun, and I really like Pop's food court. It's the newest of the value resorts and was more recently updated. As far as the best moderate resort, they're all nice. Most people seem to prefer Port Orleans Riverside, which is fantastic. I also like the Caribbean Beach Resort, although for some reason I hear more complaints about it than the other moderates.
- Hello :) I definitely would stay at Port Orleans, Riverside Resort! It is a beautiful and reasonably priced resort! The rooms are beautiful and spacious, they have many pools to hang out at after a long day at the parks and a huge dining area with many foods to choose from! They also have a cute store where you can buy everything from coffee mugs, t-shirts, beverages, and snacks. I have been to Disney about 6 times within the last 12 years and have stayed here every time and absolutely love it! I do not think you will be disappointed staying here :). I want to go back already! lol Here is there website! Check it out! http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/resorts/port-orleans-resort-riverside/
- The best moderate resort on the Disney World property is Coronado Springs. The rooms are spacious, the beds are incredibly soft, and there is an excellent food court with all types of food and choices. There is a bakery/eatery to get fresh baked muffins and cookies, as well as pre-made wraps and salads. The pool is gorgeous, there is a large Aztec pyramid in the middle and a cheetah slide wrapping around the side of the pyramid. The only downside is how large the resort is. About two weeks before your trip, call the hotel and request a room near the food court and that won't be a problem.
- My favorite moderate resort is Cornado Springs, rooms are real nice, queen sized beds and a great food court! Only downfall is it is a very large property so i always get a preferred room! My second choice is Port Orleons - French Quarter mainly because it is a more intimate property and not as large as Coronado. if you do a value, definitely Pop Century and they have their own buses! You could check out the new Animation value resort too.
- Values are nice, but don't have nearly as much as fancy resorts. My favourite value resort is the AllStar Music Family Suites. They have a kitchenette, 2 bathrooms, a bedroom with a queen bed, and a main room with 2 chairs and 1 couch that all pull out into beds, Totally worth the prices (about $200, I think, not sure.) I don't know about the moderate resorts, sorry. But they run about the same prices as the family suite and the rooms are smaller. But they have more little things around the resort,
- As a DVC member since 1992, we have stayed in multiple different hotels (been to Disney about 200 times). Although as a family we have never stayed in a Value place, for a class trip I stayed at Pop Century. I would not recommend unless its a family with young children who did not care about their hotel. This past October, we made a last minute trip (scheduled in two weeks), and a hotel which was available was Cornado Springs. This was a different type of hotel room which we are used to, but it was very nice. The pool was AWESOME, and they layout of the hotel was easily understood. I would stay there again! PS, I leave in 2 weeks for Disney :) cant wait!
- = There are four parks within the Disney World Resort – Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney\s Animal Kingdom – as well as two water parks and two other entertainment areas. And in addition to the resort hotels which are located within the park itself there are also loads of cheap hotels in Disney World in the area around the park. Plus, even within the park the Disney folks have thoughtfully made a few budget resort hotels for those of us who are not up for a big splurge on our vacation hotel.
