Does military employees receive discounts on Walt Disney World Tickets or stays at the resorts?

1. Check with the ITT office on base for your tickets and disney world has a specific resort for military members. Just call their reservation line and ask about it.
2. Yes on discount tickets for military. However, there is no discount for military at any of the Disney owned resorts. I checked on it last year as my family and I had stayed at Shades of Green five straight times and we were just looking for something different. We ended up just staying at Shades of Green a sixth time. You can't beat the rates for what you get. You can pick up tickets at the ticketing office at the Shades of Green resort on the Disney property between the Polynesian resort and Grand Floridian. You can find the prices for Disney tickets for military members if you go to www.shadesofgreen.org. In addition, if you are active military, guard, reserve, or retired, you are eligible to stay at Shades of Green. I highly recommend staying there if you are. Shades of Green is a 4-star hotel in a great location on the Disney property and has all the bus transportation available at any Disney hotel. Rooms only cost between $90 and $110 based on military rank and they are comparable to the rooms in Disney's high-end resorts such as the Polynesian and Contemporary resorts where rooms can run over $300 per night. If you want to check on Shades of Green history, it used to be a Disney owned hotel called the Disney Inn before the DOD purchased it from Disney in 1996. Prior to DOD's purchase, the Disney Inn was referred to as the golfers hotel. It is situated between Disney's Magnolia and Palms golf courses and although anyone can still golf on these courses, only military can stay at Shades of Green. One thing to note... although military gets a decent discount on Disney tickets, Florida residents get an even better one. If you're a Florida resident, you get very good deals with proof of Florida residency.
