Disney World Vacation Package

From All Of The Walt Disney World Resorts, Which One Is The Best?

I Have Been To Walt Disney World Many Times, But The Only Two Disney Resorts I Have Stayed In Were The Saratoga Springs And The Disney Institute (Before It Closed). My Family And I Might Go Again In The Summer And I Am Looking For Another Disney Resort To Stay In. We Most Likely Will Go Back To Saratoga Springs, But We Might Not. So, What Other Disney Resorts Do You Suggest And Why? Thanks. Your STAR May Increase The Chance Of Getting More Answers.

  1. My husband and I love Walt Disney World and one of my favorite hotels is the Beach Club Villas. One great thing about being their is that you are so close to everything! The Boardwalk across the water and Epcot is right next door. Also it only takes a water launch to get to Hollywood Studios and you can walk to the monorail in Epcot to get to Magic Kingdom. Have lots of fun!!
  2. We went to Disney World back in 2002 and we took part in the Disney Cruise, and let me tell you, it was fantastic. The entire week before the cruise left port we stayed in Florida and went to Disney World and all of the Disney branch parks along with it. We also did Sea World and Universal Studios-Islands of Adventure, both of which were unbelievable. If your looking for somewhere really fun to go, Islands of Adventure is the place. It's co-joined with Universal Studios and you can buy a pass that works for both parks. There are tons of rollarcoasters and it's just a blast. The Disney Cruise itself was really good. They take you to this private, very secluded island that Disney owns and you can do all sorts of things. Water skiing, para-sailing, jet-skiing, everything. The best part is, Disney has put a massive ship into the water and sunk it just off the island's coast. You can dive down and exlpore it, whether you want to snorkell or scuba-dive. The ship was great. It's nine floors and they have just about everything you could ask for on board.
  3. Dixie Landings was the best one. They don't have it anymore though. We went to Pop Century in 2006. My family and I loved it. I went this past summer, but for the first time didn't stay on Disney property. I prefer to stay on Disney property. When I go again, I will probably look into a resort that I have never been to yet. Saratoga Springs sounds really nice. Have a Great Time! =) EDIT: To the answer below me...I've always wanted to try the Animal Kingdom Lodge. Maybe, that's what I will do when I go to Disney next! =)
  4. Here I go again, Disney should send me a % for the way I brag on Animal Kingdom Lodge. It is our favorite - beautiful inside and out. It is such a joy to wake up in the am (get the savannah view room) and sit on the balcony with the animals just outside. The fencing is so well done you almost feel as if a giraffe with come up to greet you. The restaurants are wonderful, with Boma having the best breakfast of any location at Disney. The pool is large with zero entry, the gift shop is well themed and when you come in at night the fire pit makes you feel as if you are in another world. We always rub the mask for luck as you leave the main doors. The bus service is very good as AKL does not share with other resorts. The rooms are a bit dark as it is part of the theme but large enought to be comfortable. Your room can be some distance from the lobby - as it can be in any resort - but the good news is, the walk is inside. We are staying at CBR this year due to budget restrictions but hands down we would be at AKL if possible. Good luck on your decision and have fun!
  5. Well I went to Disney World back in the summer of 07 and I would say stay in Coronado Springs it was very nice it had a Aztec theme to it they golf cart to drive around the resort they about two restaurant and one gift shop
  6. Obviously, you are a Vacation Club member. So, if you are looking for a VC resort or Villa, I would recommend the Beach Club Villas or Bay Lake Tower (I think it opens this summer, located next to the Contemporary) If you want a traditional hotel, I suggest Contemporary because it has a great decor that balances style with Mickey (in other words, it's not over-Mickeyed) Also, if you stay in a room in the Tower of Contemporary facing Magic Kingdom you will get a great view of Wishes, the Magic Kingdom fireworks show, which the kids will love and the hotel has a character breakfast (Chef Mickey's, my personal favorite). Unfortunately, availability at the Contemporary is very difficult to get, especially if you want a Magic Kingdom view. I suggest you call ASAP if that hotel is your choice. You should try to get a room, though because this is such a lovely hotel! Another great suggestion I have is the Beach Club resort (not Yacht Club, Beach Club!) This, too is not an over-Mickeyed resort, but it has more of a light and bouncy theme than the Contemporary. This hotel has a character breakfast (Cape May) and probably the best pool in the World. The pool has a sandy bottom, waterfalls, a pirate ship to explore that includes a slide, and most importanlty...the pool is heated! Also, whether you stay at this place or not, you should eat at Beaches and Cream, a really good burger and ice cream shop that's located near the pool. Sadly, this is probaly one of the most expensive hotels on property and it is very popular, so expect many people! Note: I chose my two favorites and I really think you and your kids will both love either one of these two resorts! -EC
