Disney World Vacation Package

Where can I find a list of hotels near Walt Disney World That AREN"T disney resorts?

I used to stay at the Grovensors(spelling?) they changed it though and we stayed last year. It was cheap, but this year the prices sky rocketed and they no longer offer meals. so we need one near that area which offer meals and is realtivly cheap. No disney resorts though. The reason is because last time we stayed at a Disney Resort, we had the worst experience. The Beds were dirty, the workers rude and lazy and the food really wasn't that great.

  1. Wyndham Bonnet Creek Resort Hilton Orlando Resort Lake Buena Vista Doubletree Guest Suites Holiday Inn in Walt Disney World Resort Royal Plaza Best Western Lake Buena Vista Resort Hotel Buena Vista Palace **Most of the resorts are going to be in the Downtown Disney area** _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ I don't know if there is a reason why you do not want to stay on Disney property, but if you stay in one of the Value resorts their prices are comparable to what the non-Disney hotels will be. The Value hotels start at $82 a night. You receive many perks when staying on Disney property. -- Buses run every 15 minutes or so to and from the parks. -- If you are going during a busy season, the parks can reach capacity. If they do reach capacity the parks will stop letting off site guests in. On property guests are always allowed admission to the parks. -- You can have any purchases you make in the parks sent back to your hotel lobby free of charge to avoid having to carry them through the parks with you. -- If you book your hotel and tickets at the same time you get little bonuses like a coupon for a round of mini-golf, or a percentage off a dining experience -- If you fly in you can use Disney's free Magical Express service which will get you to and from the airport/hotel for no charge.
  2. If you are going cheap...kissimme, just google that. I have to agree with the Disney perks. You can stay for $30 a night, but you'll more than make up for the $50 in headaches. The airport shuttles are great. Shipping crap back to the room is guaranteed. The hotel pools, food etc is excellent even in the cheap seats.
  3. Search for somewhere in Kissimmee or Winter Park, not so much Lake Buena Vista or other disney property
  4. go to www.travelzoo.com----I got a great rate outside of disney---also they have great reviews~~~
  5. check orbitz, hotwire, and priceline, they will let you choose the location you want on a map, so you can get the closest hotels to the disney gates
  6. I always use http://www.tripadvisor.com. I have found that the user entered reviews are spot on. If it's rated high in TripAdvisor I don't worry about the quality of the place.

  8. There is a website that lists all the Downtown Disney resort area hotels (just put those words in a websearch). Also check with Disney themselves because they offer assistance in more than just their own resort hotels! :)
  9. You could go on priceline.com since they usually have really good deals with the hotels, flights, and tickets. So food would not be as much of a problem since you would save a really good amount of money by taking one of there deals. For example me and my friends are going in march and there are four adults the price on priceline was 1,280. Which was 588 a person and includes our hotel room, transportation to and from the parks and air port, tickets to the parks, and our airfare. Hope that helps.
  10. Personally, I've found the opposite to be true. I stayed in a room at the Grosvenor (sp?) back in the mid-90's that was nowhere near the cleanliness of a Disney resort (though I believe the Grosvenor has undergone significant renovations since then). I've never been assigned to a Disney room that has been anything less than clean, and the service provided by cast members is far beyond what I've seen at any other vacation resort. I would suggest the following web sites: http://AllEars.net/ http://www.MouseSavers.com/ Both feature descriptions and reviews of resorts both on an off WDW property. MouseSavers is also full of tips on how to save money on a Disney vacation.
