- i have stayed at 5 different disney hotels. Wilderness Lodge: VERY nice. I don't remember it too well because it was very long ago, but i do remember loving it there. It is themed to be a national park service lodge in the Northwest. if you like the feel of the wilderness, i would say you would really like this hotel. it is a deluxe hotel so it is a little expensive. Polynesian: my personal favorite out of all the disney hotels i've stayed at or seen. this one is themed to the south pacific. it really feels like a tropical paradise. the rooms are great, they were recently refurbished to have flat screen tv's, etc. The pool is also amazing and you can see cinderella castle from the beach. also, in certain rooms, you can have a view of the castle out your window. You can also take the monorail to the Magic Kingdom which was very convenient and the ticket and transportation center was just a short walk away which made life easier. you also get a free lei! this resort is also deluxe and pretty expensive. Caribbean Beach: I liked this hotel okay. I think i would have liked it better if we were closer to the main building. the buildings are very spread out and we had to walk 10 minutes just to go get some breakfast. but other than that, it was nice. just request a room closer to the main building at it will be great. this is a moderate priced hotel. Port Orleans: Riverside: this is my favorite moderate hotel that i've stayed at. my family and i have stayed here multiple times because the price is agreeable and it is a very nice hotel. i love the horse-drawn carriage rides, and you can also go fishing. it is gorgeous and i liked the rooms. you can take a nice boat ride to downtown disney right from the hotel. the food court here is also my favorite of ANY hotel that i've stayed at. it is a moderate. Pop Century: i liked this hotel okay. the best thing was the price, it is cheaper than the other hotels, and it is mostly geared towards children and families. there are many interactive things to do at the hotel, such as a giant twister board, etc. the pools also have cool themes. i highly recommend this hotel if you are going with kids and are on a budget. it is a value resort. I have also visited (not stayed at) Animal Kingdom Lodge and the Grand Floridian. These hotels are also extremely nice and cool, but they are deluxe so they are expensive. I have never had a bad experience at a Disney hotel. Whichever one you choose, you will have a good time at. And in reality, you don't spend all that much time in your hotel anyways, you are usually at the parks. also, here is a link where people have given their opinions on all of the disney hotels. just scroll down and look at the left side of the screen and click on a resort. http://allears.net/acc/faq_hot.htm have fun!
