Disney World Vacation Package

Which Walt Disney World Resort is better?

My mom, my sister, my cousin and I are going to Disney World in late July of 2010. We're staying in the deluxe resorts. Price isn't an issue because we're in the vaction club. I really like the Bay Lake towers because of the monorail and the magic kingdom view but the Animal Kingdom Lodge is nice and really beautiful but no monorail. Should we stay in a studio or a 1 bedroom vaction home?

  1. We loved the Animal Kingdom Lodge. We had a Savannah view, so we could see the animals they have there from our room. It was a very beautiful and peaceful resort. It was nice to come back to after a day at a busy noisy park. We had a one room villa at the Saratoga Springs resort. It was great to have a kitchen and washer/dryer. and the big sunken tub was fabulous. Having the one bedroom was good because if someone wanted to sleep they could close the door and we could stay in the living room / kitchen area
  2. I would stay on the resort. I recomend the Disney Sports Resort. It is GREAT! They have a food court with just about ANYTHING you could want and the food is soooo good. Also the rooms are nice and they have 2 different pools. They also have a store in the lobby which is like their own Walgreens. I'm not sure if The Sports Resort is one of your guys' choices but i highly recomend it! Also, I would check out Universal Studios. I had MUCH more fun their and I think a group of adults like youself would enjoy it much more too! Have so much fun!
  3. If price isn't an isssue I'd go for the 1 bedroom, no matter where you stay. I think you'll be more comfortable. As far as hotels go, my top 2 favorites are the Boardwalk and Beach club villas. You'd be near Epcot if you'd stayed there and be on the ferry boat transportaion lake that goes to Disney Hollywood Studios & Epcot. Of course, you can always take the bus as well. The Bay Lake Towers is the newest and would probably be very nice. As you mentioned is on the monorail line and is very close to MK and has connections (Via Monorail) to Epcot. The Animal Kingdom hotel is the furthest from the rest of the parks (besides Animal Kingdom). I would personally stay somewhere else, just to be closer to the other parks. Good luck & Have a good trip!
  4. Bay Lake is my home resort, so I am partial. I would go for a 1-bdrm. There is more sleeping options. The living rooms sleep 3 at BLT and Kidani. The is also WAY more space.
